Anyone who works installing air conditioners knows that we usually have two basic units: the condenser and the evaporator. In condensers, it is common the presence of temperature sensors and the compressor and the heat exchanger. However, in addition to temperature sensors, which regulate this important factor, LG’s commercial line condensers, for example, also have the so-called Pressure Sensor from pressure sensors supplier. It is also essential for the device to function correctly.

And do you know what it’s really for? Do you know its importance and the main aspects that must be observed?

After all, what is the Pressure Sensor, and what is its function?

The Pressure Sensor from pressure sensors supplier of the LG commercial line products are used to read the pressure of the equipment, and this is transferred to the condenser plate.

This type of occurrence allows for greater control and precision over the air system’s stability and pressure, increasing the device’s performance and greatly reducing the time required for it to reach the temperature that the user wants by setting via a button or remote control.

In models that work both ways, in cooling mode, for example, it allows this time to be reduced by up to 30%, while in heating mode, this time is reduced even further: by up to 44%.

What Changes With It, And What Should The Installer Pay Attention To?

With the existence of the Pressure Sensor, the products now have two more alarms, 34 and 35 (referring to low- and high-pressure sensor error).

They are essential because, in case of an error, they signal and facilitate the identification and analysis of the system in a much more effective way. They are manifested in the following situations: when the system is overloaded (remembering that this can happen when the fan or condenser is obstructed), in the absence or excess of fluid, in case of a failure between the board and the sensor, or even in a situation broken cable and problems with the sensor itself.

The respective triggering allows awareness and much faster intervention by the responsible professional, who will be able to analyze the conditions and correct irregularities to cause the least discomfort and unavailability to the user.

    The Function Of Pressure Sensors

Now that you know what pressure sensors are, it’s time to talk a little about their function. The truth is that there is not just one type of pressure sensor, but basically, the functional one of most of them is based on the same principle. The liquid or gas exerts pressure on a certain surface of the equipment; this force, in turn, is transformed into electrical signals, which are finally captured by systems capable of “translating” them into information. Generally speaking, and simplified, it is more or less that. Without pressure sensors, it is virtually impossible to know how much force a liquid or gas might be exerting. But as we said, there are several types of pressure sensors, now let’s explain what they are.

The Different Types Of Pressure Sensors

As we mentioned before, pressure sensors are equipment used in different industries. And just as there are companies of various types, there need to be other pressure sensors to meet their needs.

Among the main pressure sensors, we can mention:

    • Resonant
    • Optical
    • Variable capacitance
    • Potentiometric
    • Piezo-electric
    • Variable Reluctance
    • Piezo-resistive

As mentioned earlier, these are just the main ones; there are several other pressure sensors. This is basically what you need to know about pressure sensors. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, we’ll be happy to answer them for you.
