A stuffy and filthy environment hinders creativity and deteriorates the healthy states of the body. This is well known throughout the entire population but people often fail to uphold cleanliness to its expectation due to a lack of necessary equipment required. This process compels the usage of a vacuum. This article reviews factors to consider when buying a vacuum cleaner.

Vacuum cleaners are gaining popularity due to their ability to satisfy the expectations of customers. They are broadly categorized as wet vacuums and dry vacuums based on the nature of work performed. Based on the model and structure, they are categorized as; canister, handheld, upright, backpack, cylinder, robotic, and central vacuum cleaner.

    1. Power performance

This is the vacuum’s ability to sanction dirt by creating a sufficient low-pressure zone. This is usually measured by two indications, water lift, and airflow. Water lift is a parameter to indicate the height with which water can be sanctioned while airflow refers to the amount of air flowing past the nozzle per unit of time. These two parameters encompass the power and their effectiveness.

    2. Motor power

This refers to the number of motors fitted in the vacuum. It should be by the nature of the floor and the type of debris to be sanctioned. Rugged surfaces have more motors to effectively dislodge debris. It is uneconomical to purchase a vacuum with many motors for smothered surfaces or surfaces with light carpets.

    3. Noise level

Noise-sensitive environments require the least noise-producing equipment. Improvements are going on to generate apparatus with negligible noise production with the moving parts made to move swiftly as possible. These vacuums ensure comfort not only to the user but also to the occupants of that room. The lesser the amount of noise generated, the higher the vacuum price in Kenya.

    4. Filtration

Any vacuum is fitted with two types of filters, upstream and downstream filters. Upstream filters dirt from reaching the cleaner systems while downstream filter prevents dirt from circulating back into the room. The filters can be made of polyester filters, washable polyester, or HEPA filters. HEPA filters are the most effective while washable filters are more durable.

    5. Structure and design

Vacuums came in different shapes, weights, and dimensions. This affects its mobility and the area accessible for cleaning. Vacuums designed for offices are usually lighter and easily movable compared to those used for outdoor activities. Those designed for outdoor activities are fitted with wheels and longer cords to ensure a larger area is covered during cleaning.

    6. Attached accessories

Manufacturers attach accessories to allow the performance of special tasks using the same machine. The common attachments include suction hoses, wands, and tubes. Modern vacuums however have included flat lance to collect debris from narrow grooves, round brush for delicate surfaces, and wet brush for lifting liquids and liquid soaked debris.

    Conclusion

The products in the market might be confusing probably in terms of decision-making on the best product to fit your requirements. The majority of the clients end up disappointed by their rush decision-making without doing proper research. This article is fit for reference for anyone wishing to purchase a vacuum cleaner.
